Echo listened to Heron's reply and found it very amusing indeed. She struggled to stop herself from laughing. A wide grin spread across her maw as she nodded to him in acknowledgment to his reply and in thanks.
"Packs shall probably start forming sooner or later....."
Did this chalky brujo expect things to happen by itself? That was what the femme found so funny.
"I suppose they will," she replied, stretching and releasing a yawn, "but in the mean time. . .let's talk about ourselves. How did you two come to be here?"
Ooc| Bleh rubbish post!

Heron tilted his head to the side as he watched the femme's reaction to his words. What's so funny? He thought, somewhat indignantly, although his features didn't alter(sp), staying calm and unreadable.
"I've lived here all my life, Echo, along with my brother Tai." Heron explained with a small smile, then, after a glance at Dranze, he decided that he might as well chip in his own question, just to be polite.
"And you? What brings you to the Forest?" He asked pleasently, auds pricking to catch the answer he expected to receive.

Ooc || Lol, small talk ^^
Dranze remanied emotionless, answering in a flat voice.
"I am a traveller, and I am new to these parts."
He answered both brute and femora, the only change in his stance, a slight agitated flick of his sable tufted tail.

Echo listened polietly as each brujo explained why they were there. So Heron had a brother and had lived here all his life and Dranze was new here, like her. She nodded.
"Well..." she replied, the most recent events in her life rewinding through her mind so she could remember what it was that had brought her to these lands, "...I guess you could say it was just pure luck!"
Echo's grey plume thumped cheerily on the cave floor.

Heron smiled at Echo's breezy answer, dipping his head.
"Yes. I think that any wolf privileged enough to live within this forest is very lucky indeed." He said, his gaze flitting from Echo's face to the trees surrounding the small hill upon which sandstone cave sat. A small smile graced his maw, and his plume began to wag slowly, thumping the cave floor at regular intervals.
ooc: Bad post... more small talk... bleh. hehe.

Dranze relaxed again, now that no more questions were being asked about his past. He did notlike his past, and he did not like re-living it.
The masculine allowed himself a wolfish smile, showing pale ivories again, before he spoke.
"Indeed, this place is the most beautiful terra I have ever wandered through. With thy permission, I would stay."

Echo, feeling slightly lost for words, sat for a minute in silence, her grey pinnae listening to Heron's words. Then it was Dranze who spoke and Echo became suddenly confused.
"Permission?" she asked, turning back to Heron, "Is this your terra? Do we have to ask to stay?"
Her brow furrowed in her confusion. Surely both wolves had said they hadn't heard of a pack here?

Heron's eyebrow raised as Dranze spoke, and he was about to reply when Echo suddenly spoke, and he turned to her and shook his head.
"Salvation Forest belongs to no one, and it never will. However, some parts of it are claimed. I like to think of this cave as my terra, but if a pack came to claim it I would have to leave, for I could not compete with them."
He sighed softly, shaking his head.

The grey and beige femme nodded to show acknowledgment of his statement and pondered this for a few moments.
"I think I shall stay here..." she said, her occuli 'pon the ceiling as she thought, "...in these lands I mean, not necessarily this cave...I guess, as there are no packs, I shall wander..."
Echo brought her gaze from the roof and, feeling slightly tired, sank into a laying position, wondering what else to say.

Heron smiled at Echo, dipping his head. He watched as she slipped into a lying position, grey eyes impassive.
Just as Echo's body settled into the slightly sandy floor of the cave, a howl split the air, and Heron's mikly audits pricked. He glanced from Dranze to Echo and, feeling that he had had enough small talk for one day, rose slowly to his feet.
"Please excuse me, I think I shal take my leave." He excused himself politely, bending his front legs in a low bow to Echo, then nodding to Dranze. "Farewell."
He dipped his chalky maw once more, then turned and loped from the cave, banner flying freely behind him.

Dranze bowed back, smiling. It was good to know he could stay here, although his old formality may cause some wry looks from other wolves. He couldn't help it, that was just how he was.
The black male turned his golden gaze to the femora, still smiling.
"I shall grow to like this place, although I would choose to see more of it. Would'st thou accompany myself on a ramble?"
He asked politely, dipping his head to Echo.

"Farewell," Echo replied to Heron, returning his bow with a nod of her head (as it is quite impossible to bow if you are laying). She then turned her attention to Dranze and smiled at him before raising to her feet.
"Of course! she said polietly, "I too would like to see more of this terrain."

Dranze felt ahppier than he had done in a long time. This place, these wolves, they were so different from what he had known throughout his life. Everything here was new.
Politely he waited for the femme to leave the cave before him.

Echo trotted out of the cave and surveyed the surroundings before taking in a large breath of air.
"Where shall we go first?" she inquired, turning to look back at Dranze.
