Season: Spring
The forest is alive with vibrant greens, the foliage lush. The air is growing steadily warmer, and the sun rises earlier and sets later, making the days longer. Large prey such as deer is slowly filling the forest again, and creatures that have been hibernating have woken from their slumber.
Pups will be born this season, if any, and any packs will be healthy and thriving with the plentiful prey and warmth.
Pink elephants can't fly? How do you know? Have you ever seen a pink elephant failing to fly? I have yet to meet a pink elephant who couldn't fly, I'll have you know!
Anyway...I'll post something, shall I? Presumably this example should be of a wolf roleplay, hmm? And it should be the character(s) I intend to play after joining? Ah well, it is, whether it needs to be or not.
The harsh wind howled as it flew over the tundra, and in its midst a second, almost similar sound could be heard. This howl was that of a wolf, but its tone was no less icy, and it lent no warmth to the chorus filling the sky. Its creator could be seen far below, pacing across the fields of ice with a determined gait and an irritated expression. It had been nearly a minute now since her call, what was keeping him? The fool had probably stopped to gaze up in wonder at the Aurora, mesmerized by its shimmering curtains of pink and green. It wasn't as if it was new to him, he'd been born beneath it, but still the sight of it seemed to fill him with excitement night after night. She raised her muzzle a second time to the heavens, and this time received the answer she'd been waiting for. Her voice was quickly joined by a second, no different in pitch or volume but notably lacking in her characteristically cold tone. It almost sounded like he was laughing at her impatience. Well, he wouldn't laugh when she caught up with him, that was for sure. The caribou were moving on, and they could easily miss a meal thanks to his carefree, careless attitude.
"You worry too much, they're already looking tired." The voice came from behind a steep hill of ice, and as the female spun round, lips raised in a silent snarl, her brother bounded into sight. "They've been walking for days, we've just begun. What's your problem?" "You are my problem." She replied, her voice a soft growl, but she turned away as she spoke to continue after their prey. There was no sense trying to teach him sense. If it was possible, she'd have succeeded by now. As it was, he seemed determined to take everything in his stride without so much as a grumble.
She broke into a run, her stride short but powerful, and her brother quickly caught up and matched her pace. For a few moments, they could almost have been one wolf when seen from above, a mere trick of the light projecting their image twice onto the snow. Both a similar size, both covered in long fur which carried identical markings in grey and white. Even the manner in which they held themselves was comparable, although the female carried an air of dominance that differed to the male's good natured appearance. The only notable difference was that whilst they both shared the same eye colour, a vivid emerald green, the left eye of the brother was a milky white-grey, like the sky in the daytime. If only having half the normal field of vision bothered him, he'd never mentioned it. Of course, he had been born in such a way, so he may not have even been aware there was anything wrong if not for comments from other wolves and his sister in particular.
They moved in silent unison beneath the Northern Lights.

Carmel nodded then held the smile she had on earlier. "Wow...I'd get stir crazy around here if I stayed in one place for quite some time. That's just me...I love moving around a lot." SHe sighed lightly and continued.
"However, this time...I may stay here a bit longer than usual." she said. This place seemed so serene to her, it was just flawless.

Heron's auds perked to catch the words she muttered to herself, but he didn't say anything, his features unreadable. He listened to her question, then smiled and nodded his head.
"Yes, I was born here." He said, smile broadening.

"Idiot." she said to herself under her breath. She cast a glance at the ground for a moment or two then kept her gaze on Heron. "Its quite alright." she said politely.
And after an awkward silence she came out with saying, "You've lived here long, haven't you? Or...I mean, at least longer than some of the wolves around here." she said curiously, then a pause, "I can tell by your reply to my question of permission to stay here."

A light chuckle was emmited as Carmel replied, but Heron did not speak, allowing her to finish completely. Auds perked to catch her question, and Heron's eyes widened, shaking his head.
"No, m'lday..." He said, smiling, although his grey eyes remained impassive. "There is no pack around here, and I am not the alpha..." He trailed off, dipping his head courteously. "I am sorry to disapoint you." He said gentley.
"And no one owns Salvation Forest," Heron continued. "Only mother nature herself could claim all of it, although some packs claim the parts which have been deemed right to claim."
The large, snowy white brute smiled once more, hoping he made sense, long white plume swaying gentley.

Hmmmm... it's an ok post, long and descriptive, but please watch your grammar and spelling, and also your use of commas. Read over your post after you've typed it and make sure everything makes sense.
Also, please can you not switch from the past to the present tense. Please only post in the past tense. Ta. ^^
One more thing, please post all of the hidden phrase, just so I can make sure you've read all the rules and not only parts. ^^ Thanks. As long as you take my advice on board and post the rest of the phrase, you're accepted! Welcome to Salvation Forest!

Her traps parted slightly as a smile spread across her mug. She shook her head lightly, "No, no you didn't extremely startle me." Her banner began swaying idly as she shifted her weight between mitts. She sighed softly hearing his question.
Carmel reclined upon her haunches in front of Heron before she spoke. "My reasoning might sound very cliche, but I was looking for a place to stay for quite some time and I thought that this may be the perfect place. I was thinking that I could stay here if its alright with the owner."
Her mouth stayed slightly agape until she spoke again, "Oh and if there was a pack around here, it would mean so much to me if I could become a new member." Verde eyes met his grey eyes once again, "You are the alpha right?" Otherwise I may be making a complete idiot out of myself, she thought to herself.
